South Africa Gun Import Update
Bringing a rifle into South Africa for your hunting safari doesn't have to be difficult.
In order to ensure your trip here and back is as hassle-free as possible, we recommend the use (at a nominal fee) of one of the available speciality companies in Johannesburg who facilitate the firearms documentation process at the Oliver Tambo Airport (previously known as Jan Smuts, the airport in Johannesburg). Their expert staff will get you through the customs with minimal fuss to start your trip off on a relaxed note. If you wish to use this service we will put you directly in contact with them.
If you decide not to use their service it is advisable to allow at least 4 hours between your arrival in Johannesburg and departure to your next stop (Port Elizabeth) so that you do not miss the connecting flight due to paperwork hang-ups. It is recommended that you consider staying over in JHB if you cannot arrange your flight times with sufficient gap to complete this paperwork.
On booking your trip with us we will send all relevant information and documents to you.
On arrival at Port Elizabeth we will meet you at the airport and drive you to your chosen lodge. This trip will be between one hour and two and a half hours, depending on your choice.
